The infliximab biosimilar in the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis

The infliximab originator's patent recently expired, leading to the production of biosimilar versions of the drug. The biosimilars' efficacy was not tested on patients with psoriasis but most regulatory authorities approved their use in psoriasis because of an extrapolation of data from studies conducted in other diseases.

The Golden Ratio of Beauty—A Hidden Treasure

Represented by the Greek letter φ, the golden ratio is characterized as an irrational number, approximately equal to 1.61803. It is often expressed through the division of a line into 2 parts, so that the proportion of the entire line to its longer part is equivalent to the ratio of the longer part to the shorter part. The Fibonacci sequence is another tool that may be used to derive the golden ratio. As the sequence is taken out to infinity, each integer may be divided by the preceding integer, yielding the same proportion.

There soon may be an imaging system under your skin

Body:

Engineers at the University of Stuttgart in Germany have designed an “imaging system” so tiny that it can be sent straight into human tissue.

The system is based on a three-lens camera built using 3-D printing. The camera has a lens just 100 micrometers wide that can focus on images up to 3 millimeters away and relay them back through an optical fiber.

The Stuttgart team has published a report on their work in the journal Nature Photonics, and Phys.org has more info plus photos:
